OK, so I saw a few scattered in the other forums and decided I would start this to keep them in one area.
I guess these are the only "for sure" games, right?

F.E.A.R. (Combat?)
CoD2

If there was some CS 1.6 or CSS, I could probably get a few friends to come. Also, how many have signed up as of now? I haven't been to a LAN in about a year...

Friday

* Battlefield 2

Saturday

* FEAR Combat TD best of 3 maps
* Call of Duty 2 TD best of 3 maps

I still need someone to step up and run the Counter Strike 1.6 5v5 tourney. I have people set for the rest.

Right now there are 14 people signed up.

Hope you can make it.

We will. Gotta have that rematch to see if you can "Defeat" us. It is not listed because it is not a major tourney as per Defeat's request. I think he got sick of winning all the time.

lol
it's tough to be Defeat
I look forward to the rematch.

We haven't played UT for quite a while, might have to brush up on it.

If he wants a challenge, I have two ideas:

1. make it a 1v1 duel tournament
2. 4v4 TDM I could bring a much stronger team

I don't know if any magic guys are even going to make it, but could probably round up some indoorsmen teammates for a 4v4. I have tried talking magic guys into travelling to other lan parties but they don't get out much.

I'm a little rusty on my UT2004 duel but have not lost a regional tournament since UT03. Quake is my primary game, with resume including a 1st place Q4 1v1 win at lacledes LAN (ST. Louis, 150+ ppl, beating two pro gamers in the process). I think I could give defeat a run. Maybe not in raw dogfight skills, but duel tactics.

LAN party vs LAN party was a great time and makes for a very fun exhibition. I wouldn't call it the best competition as it was two good players (cyd and myself), one decent player (mr crazy), and a rotation of 3-4 nubs. I'm not making excuses, just making a point that I could put together a much better challenge.

I like the 4v4 idea. I think we could put together a strong team of 4. Defeat, KrAzE, Kanten, and possibly myself.

Get the magic lan guys to come out, it will be fun. It's great to LAN in another city. It's like a vacation.

Maybe Monolyth could help us out. Mono, are you out there? We need you for 20 minutes. I didn't see a pre reg from him yet but he would be an asset if we are really wanting to pack the heat.

I believe he said something that he will not be coming. Course people can always change their mind. ;)

That would require less then 30% of our participants actually playing LAN games...
I think we'll have more then 30%.
I hope....

>A small fun UT2004 tourney is fine. I didn't want an official one because I don't believe it would be any fun to most of the people there. It wouldn't be close and it's a hard game to learn from a dead start. I'm not implying that I don't want to face you though :)

Eh, 1.6 is kind of dead to alot of people (except the die hards) because the source engine polished the game and made it look so much better.. and people admittedly like it because there is less recoil and you can unload to get kills.

If I go I will still be bringing my "server" and pornjector. As of thismorning I have purchased a Pair of n64/PS1/2 to USB controller converters. I was going to get 4, but I dont really have that many people playing at once around here.

Anyway, I will bring the emu server so we can get some good old fashon mario kart in, as well as my (parts ordered) vga modded dreamcast for soul calibure challanges.
